Serial insanity set Cards 827 through 829

Card 827:  Yuniesky Betancourt

 

Serial Number:  1158
Team:  Kansas City Royals, 25th card out of 50

Ryan Braun seems to have brought out the best in Betancourt, 8 HRs in 113 ABs projects to a mid 30's season.  Not bad for a guy who never hit more than 16 in his career...

Card 828:  Dontrelle Willis

Serial Number:  1437
Team:  Cincinnati Reds, card # 26 out of 50

Count me as one guy who would have enjoyed seeing a successful comeback from this guy in a Reds uni.  His 2005 season (22 wins, 5 shutouts, 2.63 ERA) is one of the best I can remember from a starting pitcher in the past decade.

Card 829:  Carlos Santana

Serial Number:  1130
Team:  Cleveland Indians, card # 28 out of 50

Quietly leading the AL in slugging and OPS so far, I just wonder how long it is going to be before the Indians find another position for this guy.  6 games at 1B so far....maybe???
