Just when I thought I had all the colors memorized

I've bitched, bemoaned, enjoyed and chided the fact that there are numerous colored parallels in Topps sets.  Yellow, green, blue, 2 kinds of red, pink, gold, black in the base set.   Purple, orange and blue in the Chrome releases.  But I totally forgot about this parallel, which I'm not 100% sure is actually a color.

Sepia.  Just when I thought I had all the colors in the memory bank, then this comes along and throws everything out of whack.

This beautiful refractor #'d 50/75 of Melky Cabrera arrived on Saturday courtesy of Brian from the Play at the Plate blog.

Speaking of purple cards, there were a couple of them in the envelope as well:

The last Jays card I'll include in this post is one of Jose Reyes.  Have you ever seen the throwing stars that ninjas use?

This card reminded me of that right away.

Well not exactly, but you get the idea.

Of course, with any envelope that I receive from Brian, there is plenty more where that came from.  I've decided to split it up into a few posts though.  Just because I want to make a good thing last...you know how that is.

Thank you Brian, the cards are appreciated!

thanks for reading, Robert
