20 more for the '64

It's been great reading blogs the past week, because a lot of people have put up the obligatory "goals post".  The one post that I really enjoyed and struck a chord with me was The Real DFG's  "rant" about setting goals for yourself.

DFG's post said it quite well, it's all about having fun with the hobby.  He's right on the money.

I can proudly tell you that I am having fun with the hobby.  My own way.  Everyone is different, and anyone who has ever met me will tell you that I'm about as different as you can get.

I'm hoping that the goals that I've set this year are ones that will help me to stay focused.  That's the plan anyhow...

After saying all that, I have some more cards to show off, from the monthly card show that I attended yesterday.

With the 20 '64 Topps cards I picked up yesterday, I'm now almost 2/3 of the way through this set.  There's a couple of names that you might recognize on the scans, Ruben Amaro, Dick Tracewski, Dave De Busscherre, Bob (Buck) Rodgers.

The scans aren't the greatest, but you get the idea.  The closer that I get to completing this set, the more I'm enjoying it.  There's still quite a few $$ cards that I have to acquire; Clemente, Mantle, Maris and Phil Niekro's RC are all still on the want list.

What was also great about the card show yesterday was that I was able to pickup a couple of great card lots for the '62 and '68 Topps sets.  Cheap.   It's not too often you find lots of '62 Topps cards in reasonable condition at 15 cents apiece.  I'll show them off during the week for you.

Thanks for reading, Robert
