Heartbroken isn't the word for it

With 12 minutes to go, I was ready to celebrate.   Then the Bruins scored that 2nd goal, and I thought back to a game I saw this season where the Bruins scored twice in the last 2 minutes on the Rangers to tie the game, and I was worried.

Sadly, that fortitude by the Bruins reared up again, and the Maple Leafs are gone.

I really feel bad for these two guys, who exercised the "demons" that they had with a fantastic series.

Kessel, with 4 goals including 2 game winners, and Reimer who stifled a lot of critics who didn't think that he was playoff material, both played fantastic, and deserved to win this series.

Sometimes, things just don't work out like you want them to.

Guys, I can't wait until 2013-14, you showed Leaf Nation that the past 9 years is behind us, and good things are sure to come.

Thanks for reading, Robert

  1. Unbelievable game to cap off an equally impressive series. At least the Leafs showed a ton of hope for the future

  2. Certainly reminds me of he heartbreak I experienced in 2009 when the Devils were up 3-2 in game 7 with 1:20 left. Then we managed to lose the game in regulation to the Hurricanes.

    Sorry for your loss.

  3. No one expected them to win..........and they didn't. Lost to a superior team. Shouldn't have got that far.
